Emirates reopens executive cape town lounge and brings back pre-flight luxury

With local and international travel picking up, the upcoming festive holiday period will see many travellers take to the skies for a well-deserved getaway. The good news for Emirates’ customers travelling in Business or First Class is that they can now unwind or recharge in the newly reopened Emirates lounge in Cape Town International Airport.

The lounge will be open daily from 14:00 to 18:15, and customers can expect the award-winning Emirates experience. In terms of dining options, travellers can choose a variety of dishes from an à la carte menu or what’s on offer on the buffet. A self-serve option, the buffet includes various hot and cold dishes, from appetisers to desserts. For something more refreshing, the bar counter will be open and stocked with an array of soft drinks, juices, and alcoholic beverages.

The lounge also boasts complimentary Wi-Fi, charging stations for phones and laptops, and very comfortable seats for travellers to recline in. For those looking to refresh, the shower rooms will be open with ablution amenities and plastic-sealed towels available.

Emirates’ first priority has always been the health and safety of its customers and employees. n Every precaution has been made to the newly reopened lounge to make it a safe space to enjoy. Social distancing is recommended, masks remain mandatory except when eating food, and all lounge and catering staff will be given appropriate personal protective equipment. Seats and tables will be sanitised as they become vacant, and the lounge will be sanitised and fumigated regularly. Hand sanitiser will be available from various dispensers throughout the lounge, and in the bathrooms, paper tissues will be provided rather than hand towels.
