What a ride it has been as vehicle sponsor to IDOLS

RENAULT SA conveys heartfelt congratulations to the worthy winner of IDOLS – Berry Trytsman.

Renault joined the illustrious panel of sponsors of IDOLS SA at the onset of Season 17, as the perfect platform to showcase the All-New Renault Kiger vehicle, a good-looking sporty SUV with impressive technology to boot. The journey that ensued was both unexpected and remarkable on so many levels.

It was indeed a pleasure to get to know the TOP 16 on a more personal level, and to invite them into the Renault world through an exclusive unveiling of the Renault Kiger – way ahead of the official launch – at the flagship Renault Bryanston Dealership. The enthusiasm and passion of the finalists was pulpable on the day – An undeniable PASSION FOR LIFE.

And then the TOP 10 got to experience some action-packed track activity in some of the Renault model range at the Zwartkops Raceway. The fun side of the energetic Renault Kiger was unleashed on the skid pans and the pulsating performance of the impressive Megane RS Trophy 300 on the track certainly got hearts racing. The Idols team left with immense gratitude, feeling a little closer to and more passionate about the Renault brand.

Several photo & video opportunities later, things really hotted up with the announcement of the TOP 2 contestants.

Not only did the epic duo Karabo Mathe & Berry Trytsman show Mzansi their incredible singing talent, but they also revealed a deep and loving friendship, which made the contest that much tougher.

The finale held at Urban Brew Studios was the ultimate show-down for the title, with the IDOLS SA fans expressing their love & support for both finalists.

From 15,000 contestants down to 2 . . .

In the end, Mzansi spoke and Berry Trytsman walked off with the IDOLS SA crown – And drove off with a brand-new Renault, R1 M cash and a host of other fantastic prizes to set her singing career in motion.

In the words of Berry: “I feel honoured that SA has fallen in love with me”.
