The name ABSA in full means Amalgamated Banks of South Africa Limited. In 1998, ABSA adopted a new corporate identity and was known as Absa Group Limited. It is present in 15 countries. Currently, the Bank offers a range of retail, business, corporate and investment banking, wealth management, products and services primarily in South Africa and Africa. After ABSA changed its identity, the United, Volkskas, Allied and TrustBank brands were consolidated into a single brand.
