Ottery informal traders encouraged to apply for permits

The City has availed trading bays at the following locations in Ottery.

‘The City is creating an enabling environment for informal traders to do business so that they can supplement their income and sustain their livelihoods.

‘The creation of employment opportunities is a key focus area in my portfolio as I strive to create an environment that is conducive to the growth of the informal trading sector and the economic benefits it brings,’ said Alderman James Vos, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.

Registration is free, while the cost for permits will range between R107 to R204.

Unemployed people will be prioritised for trading bays.
Registration will close on 31 May 2023.
