Basadi in Music Awards is thrilled to announce that media darlings Robyn Nakaambo and Pamela Mtanga will be the esteemed red carpet hosts for this year’s prestigious event on 12 August 2023.
Robyn Nakaambo is a vivacious media personality with over a decade of media-related experience. Robyn, the Namibian SofnFree brand ambassador, has carved a name for herself as a sought-after Master of Ceremonies for auspicious events and corporate gatherings, a captivating radio and television host, and one of Namibia’s sought-after female entertainers. With accolades such as winning the Simply You Magazine Lifestyle Awards (SYMLAFA) for Favourite TV Personality in 2018 and being recognized for Media and Culture by the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) in 2019, Robyn is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Joining Robyn as co-host is a multimedia entrepreneur from Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), Pamela Mtanga. Pamela’s journey began at Nelson Mandela University, where she joined the campus radio station and quickly became the fastest-growing brand on campus. Her star has continued to rise, and she has since hosted events, served as a brand ambassador, and presented Channel O’s Massive Music and The Home Channel’s Afrimaxx. Pamela Mtanga is no stranger to red carpet hosting, having previously hosted the DSTV MVCA 2022 red carpet and the Movie Room Africa Launch red carpet.

Basadi in Music Awards, hosted this year by the charismatic Khanyi Mbau, is dedicated to honouring exceptional women in music across various categories culminating in the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards.
